Tea Party Organized on Chasok TangnamChumlung Him, Lalitpur.
The United Limbuwan Front, Nepal organized a Tea party on the auspicious occasion of Limbu indigenous peoples' main festival Chasok Tangnam 2066 at Chumlung Him, Lalitpur on November 30, 2009.
Leaders of political parties were invited in the Tea party. Chairman of United Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) and former Prime Minister Puspa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', chairman of constituent assembly Subash Chandra Nembang, central member of Nepali Congress Dilendra Prasad Badu, chairman of Nepal Communist Party (United) Rishi Kattel, general secretary of Federal Democratic National Forum Khagendra Makkhim, chairman of Rastriya Janamukti Party Mathabar Sing Thapa, and other leaders and constituent assembly members were attended in the Tea Party.
Arjun Limbu, chairperson of Kirat Yakthung Chumlung, on behalf of United Limbuwan Front, Nepal welcomed the distinguised guests in the tea party and highlighted the importance of Chasok Tangnam for Limbu indigenous peoples. All leaders attended in the tea party expressed their views on the current political situation, making a new constitution and Limbuwan autonomy under the federal structure of Nepal while extending the best wishes to all on the occasion of the Chasok Tangnam. The guests were served with typical Limbu foods. The program was conducted by Siri Jabegu, chairman of Limbuwan National Liberation Front, one of the member organizations of the United Limbuwan Front, Nepal.
The Limbuwan United Front, Nepal is the forum formed by Limbuwan Liberation Front, Limbuwan National Liberation Front (sister organization of UCPN-Maoist), Federal Limbuwan State Council (sister organization of Federal Democratic National Forum), Nepal Democratic Kirat Limbu Organization (sister organization of CPN-UML), Nepal Limbuwan Autonomous Organization (sister organization of CPN-United), Limbuwan Provincial Council( sister organization of Rastriya Janamukti Party), Nepal Limbu Association (sister organization of Nepali Congress) with the objective to struggle for the establishment of Limbuwan autonomy under the federal democratic republic Nepal. Kirat Yakthung Chumlung, Limbu indigenous peoples' organization works for the coordination and facilitation of the Front.
